Forum Title: Window Sill Water Damage
Hoping for some good advice, Windows arent very old, window sill (as seen in picture) is hard wood. The leak/saggy paint is about 3 inches wide and 1 inch high, curious how I should go about fixing the small amount of water damage below the sill. Thanks so much for your time

With the exception of the latch it looks like you did a pretty good job of installing it to me. Can't tell from the pics but you should always use 2 shims in opposite directions when you shim or it can twist the jambs. (Unless your studs are twisted already) that can make the gaps too tight. You commonly have to chisel the latch mortise deeper, which you obviously haven't done yet but still can.

Knowing where the water came from will help you prevent a reoccurrence. No fun to make the drywall repair and then have it happen all over again. I'd go ahead and fix it, then keep an eye on it - you'll be able to tell when it gets wet and hopefully from where. I would check flashing and caulking on the exterior to see if there is anything obvious.
